Ammanford became the first Fairtrade Town in Wales in 2002. The fairtrade town status is up for renewal again this month, and Phil Broadhurst is appealing for any shops or organisations that sell or use fairtrade products to get in touch with him so the information can go into the renewal application, and also onto a website based fairtrade directory for the town. He explains : "There are now so many people using and selling fairtrade products in the town that we're finding that we don't know about them all, which is obviously good news, but we do want the application and directory to be as complete as possible, so we're asking people to get in touch with us on 01269 596933 or riversidepicnic@yahoo.co.uk ."
Rhydaman oedd y dref Masnach Deg cyntaf yng Nghymru yn 2002. Mae statws Tref Masnach Deg Rhydaman eisiau ei adnewyddu eto mis hwn, ac mae Phil Broadhurst yn annog unrhyw siopau neu sefydliadau sydd yn gwerthu nwyddau Masnach Deg i gysylltu ag ef ar gyfer rhoi’r gwybodaeth ar ein cais adnewyddu, hefyd er mwyn ei roi ar gyfeirlyfr ar y we ar gyfer y dref. Esboniodd Phil “Erbyn hyn mae cymaint o bobl yn defnyddio a gwerthu nwyddau Masnach Deg yn y dref fel nad ydym yn gwybod amdanynt i gyd, sydd wrth gwrs yn newyddion da, ond rydym eisiau i’n cais â’r cyfeirlyfr fod mor gyflawn â phosib, felly rydym yn gofyn i bobl gysylltu a ni ar 01269 596933 neu riversidepicnic@yahoo.co.uk ."

AMMANFORD CARNIVAL - CARNIFAL RHYDAMAN
Ammanford fairtrade supporters will be helping to keep revellers refreshed at the town's carnival this Saturday (11th July).
The Rotary's refreshments tent will be serving fairtrade teas and coffees, and 2activate's stall will be serving up fairtrade frappes.
Ammanford fairtrade group member Phil Broadhurst said : "When you buy fairtrade products, you know that some of the money you pay is going to help the producers' communities, perhaps building a school, a well, or providing better healthcare.
It's good to know that at the Carnival we can enjoy the coming together of our own community while at the same time helping other communities around the world."

Bydd cefnogwyr Masnach Deg Rhydaman yn cynorthwyo i gadw pobl mewn bwyd a diod yng ngharnifal Rhydaman dydd Sawdrn 11 Gorffennaf. Bydd pabell lluniaeth y Rotari yn gweini te a choffi masnach deg, a bydd stondin 2activate yn gwerthu ffrappes masnach deg. Yn ôl Phil Broadhurst, aelod o bwyllgor masnach deg y dref, “Pan fyddwch yn prynu nwyddau masnach deg , rydych yn gwybod bod peth o’r arian yn mynd at gymunedau’r cynyrchwyr, efallai i adeiladu ysgol, neu ffynnon, neu i ddarparu gwell gofal iechyd. Mae’n braf gwybod drwy weld y gymuned leol yn mwynhau ei hunain yng ngharnifal y dref ein bod ar yr un pryd yn cefnogi cymunedau ar draws y byd.”
