The 500 mile fairtrade bike ride has begun!

The ride will be arriving in Ammanford on Sunday 31st October ready for the final leg to Cardiff via Swansea on Monday 1st November.
Hope you can make it to one of the local welcoming events:

Sunday : At Amman Valley School, Ammanford : Circus Eruption Circus Skills Workshop, Unicycle riding and film making! Plus Fairtrade snacks and Fairtrade Hats! 3pm-6pm.

Monday : 11.30ish : Environment Centre, Swansea : Come and say hello to the riders as they stop for a well earned rest!

Monday : 5.30-8pm : Millennium Centre, Cardiff : Fairtrade and cycling stalls, Dr Bike service, Fairtrade Schools entertainment and information and more...

500 MILE BIKE RIDE - IT'S HOTTING UP

Following from the fantastic send off in Ammanford the cyclist will be going to Cardiff for  -

Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff Bay

Monday 1st November
5.30pm-8.00pm
There are currently an astounding 499 fair trade towns in the UK. To celebrate the milestone of 500 towns, Wales Millennium Centre will be hosting an event on Monday 1st November.
At the event, cyclists who have completed a 500-mile ride from Scotland to Wales will be welcomed. This cycle ride is taking place in around 10 stages and will be calling in at various places that are significant to fair trade. The final one stage stretches from Ammanford (the first fair trade town in Wales) to Cardiff (the first fair trade capital city.)
There will be a live announcement of the 500th UK fair trade town on the night – you could be there to join in celebrating this wonderful achievement.
Admission is free and all are welcome. As well as stalls and crafts, there will be refreshments, music and much more. You can drop in anytime throughout the evening.
