26th JUNE – 4th JULY 2015 :
On July 4th and 5th 2015, Bristol will be hosting the international Fairtrade Towns conference. (More info at www.bristolfairtrade.org.uk). There will be a delegation walking to it from Ammanford! It will be over 100 miles and will take a week Join us for the whole walk, or for a day or for a bit of a day. See below for where we are each day. FRIDAY 26TH JUNE : AMMANFORD-BRYNAMAN
A 6 mile walk along the riverside path cycle way.
SATURDAY 27TH JUNE : BRYNAMAN – GLYN NEATH
A 12 mile walk along the Amman Valley Cycle Way, footpaths, back roads and hill tracks. Starting from Siop Laria, Brynaman. Ending Glyn Neath Co-Operative Store.
SUNDAY 28TH JUNE : GLYN NEATH – ABERCYNON
A 15 mile walk along footpaths, back roads and The Cynon Trail. Starting from Glyn Neath Co-Operative Store.
MONDAY 29TH JUNE : ABERCYNON – CARDIFF
Approx 16 mile walk along The Cynon Trail and The Taff Trail.
TUESDAY 30TH JUNE : CARDIFF – NEWPORT
Approx 17 mile walk, mostly along The Welsh Coastal Path.
WEDNESDAY 1ST JULY : NEWPORT – MAGOR
Approx 15 mile walk, mostly along The Welsh Coastal Path. Will include a visit to Newport Wetlands National Nature Reserve’s fantastic Fairtrade visitor centre!
THURSDAY 2ND JULY : MAGOR – CHEPSTOW
Approx 15 mile walk mostly along The Welsh Coastal Path.
FRIDAY 3RD JULY : CHEPSTOW – BRISTOL
A 15 mile walk, over the Severn Bridge to Aust, then along The Severn Way into Bristol. Starting from Chepstow Oxfam Shop. Ending at the Create Centre, Bristol for pre-conference meal.
SATURDAY 4TH JULY : FINAL SHORT WALK TO CONFERENCE
